The Rosie the Riveter Charter High School is an accredited high school with an emphasis on high academics and careers in the building and construction industry. Young women are especially encouraged to consider attending the school and choosing a nontraditional career. The school focuses on construction careers and building trades plus other nontraditional careers such as engineering, firefighting and law enforcement. The program addresses the needs of students that want to enter apprenticeship programs, obtain a career in a high wage high skill technology based industry or want to attend a small community high school. The Rosie the Riveter Charter High School will establish and maintain a student to teacher ratio of 1 - 20. We engage students in functional contextualized learning and extensive use of project based curriculum. We strictly adhere to the California Department of Education Standards.

The Rosie the Riveter Charter High School collaborates closely with our community partners including unions, apprenticeship programs, employers, community based organizations and other non profit agencies. The program helps students graduate from high school and apply to registered apprenticeship programs. Our philosophy targets career development and high quality learning. Our goal is to have each student reach their full potential through transfer to a college or university or entrance into registered apprenticeship program.

The original Rosie the Riveter was actually Rose Will Monroe, a riveter at the Ford Willow Run airplane factory.
WINTER honors our Rosie sisters of yesterday. During World War II, thousands of women worked in nontraditional careers.
